Hotel Milennium in NYC
Hotel facade above entrance; Deep carved and etched black spandrel glass: This Two story high bas relief sculpture has a rougher matte texture in the white etched areas. A dramatic lighting effect is achieved when the setting sun is reflected in the smooth black glass areas. They also reflect the surrounding skyline and blend the design into it's surroundings.
